We want every single thing that you get from us at Nakie to last as long a possible. We try to keep more items in circulation and out of landfill by creating high quality and durable products. Follow our Nakie care instructions to make sure you are getting the most from your gear!

Storage

How you store your gear is key to keeping it in tip top shape as long as possible. When not in use store your gear, fully dried in a cool, dry area

Keep calm and avoid pricks!

We design all of our products to be durable, but nothing is perfect! Be careful when using our adventure gear around rocks, sticks and other sharps!

Product Care Instructions

Washing your Nakie Hammock

Hand wash in cold water using a non-bleaching detergent
Hang or lay flat to dry after washing
Ensure your hammock is fully dry before storing
Do not use a dryer

Storing your Nakie Hammock

We recommend storing your hammock away after each use to minimise excessive sun exposure, as prolonged UV exposure may cause discolouration and fabric weakness (not covered under warranty)
Be mindful of storage locations (e.g. avoid damp areas or places exposed to rain or moisture, such as near open windows)

Washing yout Hooded Towel

After each use, particularly following saltwater exposure, wash on a cold gentle cycle
Do not use fabric softeners or bleach
Hang outside to dry or tumble dry on a low setting
Ensure the towel is completely dry before storing in its carry bag

Washing your Beach Towels and Beach Blankets

Hand wash or use a cold, gentle machine wash cycle separately with a non-bleaching detergent
Do not use fabric softeners or bleach, and do not soak
Hang to dry in the shade or tumble dry on a low setting
Ensure the towel or blanket is fully dry before storing

Washing your outdoor Puffy Blanket

Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle using a non-bleaching detergent
To maintain loft and puffiness, tumble dry on AIR DRY ONLY with clean tennis balls or dryer balls
For spot cleaning, wipe with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth

Washing your Picnic Blanket

Machine washable on a gentle cold cycle using a non-bleaching detergent
Do not use fabric softeners or bleach
Hang outside to fully dry before storing
If not machine washing, wipe clean with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, soak for up to 1 hour, then hang to dry
Do not use a dryer

Travel Backpack, Foldable Backpack and Tote Bag Care

Spot clean using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth
Hand wash in cool or warm (not hot) water with a non-bleaching detergent
Do not use fabric softeners
Hang outside to dry completely before folding and storing
Do not tumble dry
We do not recommend machine washing these items - hand washing is advised

Cooler Backpack Care

Wipe clean inside and out using a mild detergent and a cloth or non-abrasive sponge
To prevent odours and mould, ensure the bag is 100% dry before storing
Wipe the interior thoroughly with a dry cloth or paper towel
Leave the bag open and upside down to air dry for several days until completely dry
Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or use bleach

Washing your Bugnet

Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent using a soft cloth
Avoid scrubbing, wringing, or twisting, as this may damage the mesh
Air dry only in a shaded, well-ventilated area
Do not tumble dry, as heat can shrink or melt the mesh

Washing your Nakie Tarp

Lay flat and clean using lukewarm water with a mild detergent and a soft-bristled brush or sponge
Always dry completely before storing to prevent mould and mildew
Hang to dry in the shade to minimise UV damage
Do not use a dryer
