Who says swinging in your hammocks can’t make a good indoor activity? Yes, you can absolutely use your hammocks anywhere you can find a place to hang it. We love to use it indoors. You can check out our anchor points to help create more possibilities indoors, on verandahs or in the backyard.

Our hammocks are designed to embrace all forms and sizes as you chill and sleep. It’s rated at 225kg or 500lbs, but we’ve managed to put in 300kg plus two guys so it’s more than enough to carry you. Wondering how we did it? Check this out.

Setting up your own hammock is very easy. Our current record is 27 seconds! With our no fuss straps and carabiners you won’t need to tie a single knot.

Setting up a Nakie hammock is straightforward. Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Find Two Anchor Points: Look for two sturdy trees (or posts) about 10-15 feet apart. Ensure they’re healthy and can support your weight—trees should be at least 6 inches in diameter to avoid damage or risk
2. Loop the Straps: Take the provided tree straps and wrap each one around a tree at about head height (around 5-6 feet up). Feed the end of the strap through its own loop and pull tight to secure it. Nakie hammocks come with reinforced straps designed to be tree-friendly, so they won’t harm the bark.
3. Attach the Hammock: Clip each end of the hammock to the straps using the included carabiner clips. Nakie straps have multiple loops, so you can adjust the tension by choosing different loops—start with one in the middle.
4. Test and Adjust: Sit in the hammock to check the height and comfort. The middle should hang about hip level, with the ends at head height, to create a cozy curve. If it’s too low or tight, adjust the clips on the straps or raise/lower the straps on the trees.

These have kept us warm in all types of weather, even in the cold snow in Canada. It’s rated and certified to 5 degrees celsius so it’ll keep you warm wherever you go.

Our designs are inspired by nature, adventure and the outdoors.

Most of our prints are created in collaboration with talented artists who share our love for creativity, colour and getting outside. We turn their artwork into functional outdoor gear, so every towel, blanket or hammock feels a little more unique.

You can learn more about the artists behind some of our designs here: Meet the Artists of Nakie.

We recommend hand washing it with cold water with a non-bleaching product. Once washed, remove the hammock from the water and hang out to dry so you will be ready for your next adventure.

*Please note: Do not ever use a dryer for drying your hammock.

We recommend that you hand wash or use a cold gentle machine wash/spin cycle separately with a non-bleaching product. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach, do not soak. Hang out to dry in the shade or tumble dry on low.

If your Picnic Blanket doesn't wipe clean with a non abrasive sponge or cloth, we recommend you hand wash, soak for 1 hour then hang dry. You can alternatively use a gentle cold machine wash separately with a non-bleaching product. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.

Once washed, remove the Picnic Blanket from the water and hang out to dry completely before storing. It's now ready for your next day out!

*Please note: Do not ever use a dryer for drying your Picnic Blanket.

To wash your blanket please use a cold machine wash with a non bleaching detergent. Once the blanket is washed to help it stay nice and puffy pop it in the tumble dryer on AIR DRY only with a couple of clean tennis balls.
